Experience, Effect, Responsibilities & Accomplishments:
- Hired as first frontend engineer for insurtech startup (Blue Owl → HiRoad → Quanata), a State Farm subsidiary—built web infrastructure during 5-year tenure as company grew to 200+ employees and $20M ARR.
- Built customer acquisition flows, quote engine, onboarding platform, customer care portal, claims system, payment integration, HiRoad insurance platform, brand portal, and landing pages—establishing frontend patterns used across product development.
- Led frontend implementation through two major design overhauls affecting marketing sites, customer care portal, claims submission, and growth pages—maintaining performance and accessibility standards during transitions.
- Developed and maintained four marketing sites (40K+ monthly visitors) using React/Redux/Contentful, focusing on performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Created design system and component library that scaled with engineering team—from solo developer to full frontend organization.
- Set frontend standards for code quality, markup, security, and reliability—also handled conversion optimization and technical debt as growth engineer.
